Eric R. Miller, OD
Dr. Eric Miller, a native of Chester County and a graduate of Avon Grove High School, has been in practice for over twenty years. He earned his first Bachelor's degree with multiple academic honors from West Virginia University and was accepted into the accelerated baccalaureate/OD program at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. His second Bachelor's degree was awarded by the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. His Doctor of Optometry degree was awarded with academic and clinical honors by the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1995. Following graduation he completed a residency in Primary Care Optometry and Ocular Disease at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia. Dr. Miller has lectured on topics including Iris and Ciliary Body Cysts, as well as various topics in Glaucoma. He has published articles in peer-reviewed journals including the Archives of Ophthalmology and the Archives of Family Medicine. Dr. Miller is an adjunct faculty member for the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University Preceptor Externship Program. His areas of interest include ocular disease and contact lenses. Dr. Miller is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Pennsylvania Optometric Association and the Avon Grove Lions Club.
Barbara Thomson Miller, OD
Dr. Thomson, a native of New Jersey, has been practicing optometry for over twenty years. Dr. Thomson earned her undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Biology at Saint Joseph's University. Her second Bachelor of Science was earned at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She earned her Doctor of Optometry with academic and clinical honors at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She earned honors in all clinical rotations and was awarded the Clinical Excellence Award at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia. Dr. Thomson is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. She has special interests and advanced clinical training in contact lenses, low vision, and ocular disease.
Michele M. Dorian , OD
Michele M. Dorian, OD has been practicing optometry in Chester County since 1989 and joined Miller Eye Care in 2012. Dr. Dorian performs routine eye examinations and also specializes in the fitting of contact lenses. Her contact lens experience includes the fitting of bifocal contact lenses , as well as specialty lenses for keratoconus and postsurgical patients. In addition, Dr. Dorian is state certified to medically treat many eye diseases, including glaucoma, inflammatory, and infectious diseases of the eye.
Dr. Dorian was born and raised in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. She received her Bachelor of Science degree "with highest distinction" (summa cum laude) from the Pennsylvania State University and her Doctor of Optometry degree with clinical and academic honors from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She has been a long-standing member of the American Optometric Association, and has been selected by The Consumers' Research Council as one of "America's Top Optometrists" for seven consecutive years.
